Dominate The Auction House In World Of Warcraft
One of the easiest ways to make gold in WoW is through the Auction House. When I started out playing this game more than 3 years ago, I was insanely poor just like most low level players. I couldn’t afford anything I wanted; I never even used a potion until after level 40.
Three years later, I still see many new players struggling to make much WoW gold. I want to share a few tips that will help you guys get started.
From my first time visiting a major city, I drooled over the items on Auction House. I could tell from that moment that gold could be made from it. The idea is simple, everyone knows you buy low and sell high.
There was one predicament though, I gambled on the items that I purchased. I never knew if a profit could be made from any of the items that I bought. Surprisingly, I was still making a profit.
A huge time saver was to create a level 1 alternative character, I left him in the Ironforge. Every day I would logon to him to do my biddings on the Auction House.
The gold in my stash increased as time went by and as I become familiarize myself with the Auction House. My alt started with a measly 50 silvers, by the time my main reached level 40, I was able to purchase my normal mount right away and still have 30-40 gold left.
Most of my purchases from the Auction House were not weapons or armors. I avoided them because they usually have large deposit fees, so if they don’t sell, the deposit fee is lost.
Enchanting shards and cloths were some of the most thought after items, so that’s what I focused on. The best thing about bidding on enchanting mats is that there is no deposit fee.
When addons such as the Auctioneer came out, I was overjoyed; it was a huge time saver as it sorts out potentially profitable items.
I made tons of mistakes my first play through; I bought many items that never sold. In fact, to this day, a few of my alts still have some pre-BC items that are completely useless now. I just keep them for memorial purposes (anyone remember the uber Beasts deck, maybe dungeon 1 item sets?).
You live and learn from your mistakes right?
