The World of Warcraft including its expansions has the complete attention of the gaming world unlike any other MMORPG. The game was launched in the year 2004 and since then it has only gained strengths. Today, the largest number of subscribers in comparison to any other games, highest played MMORPG in the world is all credits that this game has acclaimed.
World of Warcraft is a game played the world over. It has over eight million playing fans worldwide. This number far exceeds the number of many countries in the world today. About one and half million players are said to be in Europe while North America has an impressive two million. China boosts an awe inspiring number of three and half million players. This is no longer just a game as it affects more than just gaming world. It is fast becoming a new worldwide craze.
According to many of its players one of the major attractions to the World of Warcraft is the fact that it is multi-leveled. It allows you grow from as a struggling lowlife in its basic levels into a master strategist at the top levels. The original version of World of Warcraft had 60 levels. The Burning Crusade patch version has up to 70 levels while the expected yet to be released Lich King Version will have players struggling up to level 80.
A separate lingua franca has evolved for the game as so many people playing World of Warcraft from all over the world all the time, Game’s interface can be used to converse with each other as many players are just engrossed using terms from the game itself.
The number of players for the World of Warcraft hasn’t dwindled in the years after its release, and there seems to be no chance for it to happen in the near future. It is not wrong to say that among the reverent gaming population of the world, the World of Warcraft is nothing short of a religion.
