What Is WoW – World Of Warcraft

World of Warcraft (Also known as WoW) is a massive multiplayer online role-playing game, (RPG)

World of Warcraft was developed by Blizzard Entertainment and was released on November 23, 2004

WoW has a monthly fee, and players must also have an internet connection to play.

Players of Wow play online against thousands of other players, creating and playing characters such as Elves, Dwarves, Gnomes, Goblins, Humans, Ogres, Orcs, Trolls and many other different characters can be played.

Players can explore a massive world with miles of hot dry deserts, flush green forests, beautiful snow covered mountains, and other strange lands.

Players can also visit large cities and explore through dozens of dark scary dungeons on their own or as a group with other players, there is always safety in numbers…

Players also get to name and train their characters in to anything they want.. Become a Warrior, Mage, Priest, Rogue, or Warlock, select to be good or evil it is solely up to the player what they eventually want their characters role to become.

When you first start playing World of Warcraft, you start out in an area that is related to the race of the character you selected to play. All the character races except gnomes and trolls start in a unique location, Gnomes and trolls have to share starting location with the orcs and dwarves, Once you have finished watching a short in-game cut scene introducing your character race, you are then set loose upon the world.

You will need to train your character well because you will find yourself up against all kinds of powerful creatures and monsters, plus other players will kill you with out even giving it a second thought. Therefore, beware and train hard.

You will also want to collect as much gold as you can so you can purchase better armor and weapons for your character.

Furthermore, try and join a guild or team-up with other players if you can from the start, you will find many players that are willing to take you under their wing and protect you from monsters and other players while you learn how to play the game.

When not playing World of Warcraft you will want to visit some forums and community websites run by players for players this will greatly help you learn how to get a hang of the game even faster.

Finally, once you have mastered World of Warcraft you can then start lending a helping hand to other newbies doing so will keep the spirit of the game alive for many years to come and make it grow even larger than it is today.

MMORPG Gaming versus Console Gaming

MMORPG gaming and console gaming have traditionally been thought of as completely separate and different playstyles. As the video game industry progresses however one can see that there are reasons to play both, rather than one sub-genre exclusively. This essay will go over the vast differences, as well as the universal traits that make both these forms of gaming complementary rather than contradictory.

One powerful trait both mmorpg gaming and console gaming share is that of escapism. Research has shown a strong connection between pain and anxiety. In fact, Nationwide Children’s Hospital has put this into practice by helping burn victims. The children play in this virtual reality to distract them from the painful process of healing from burn wounds. Although most would assume a virtual world such as World of Warcraft would be more immersive there are also console games such as Fable which would beg to differ. Here we see a powerful tool of video games, escapism, which unchecked can lead to an unhealthy obsession with the virtual worlds.

A driving force of the mmorpg gaming industry is progression. Progression via game is slightly diffferent but most deal with ones virtual character leveling up skills, stats, and equipment referred to as gear. This progression leads to a deeper immersion associated with most console games that can usually be played for a day, turned off, and turned on a month later. With mmorpg games however, the world around you continues whether or not you are progressing. If you aren’t progressing you are natually falling behind. This is a similar trait to a game we all play, life. An mmorpg is the highest form of capitalism and hard work pays off, whereas console games can be seen as a quicker escape with less progression goals. Console games have had single player forms of progression without the online aspect, also known as roleplaying games. Games such as Final Fantasy, Zelda, and even Super Mario. We see the ability for console games to have progression in the form of both virtual characters as seen in final fantasy and zelda, but only map progression in games like Mario wherein the character doesn’t progress, just the maps do. The inability for console gamers to personify there virtual characters has led to the explosive growth of the online pc mmorpg industry. With the advent of online play however, console worlds are now becoming closer to their cousin PC or Mac. One can look at the success of Halo and John Madden football on the console systems. It is the ability for quick fun but also combined with an everchanging leaderboard system to progress, to become the best player. It is this hybridization that gives console games the appeal of casual gamers which the mmorpg industry scares away. If one wants to load up a game of Madden for an hour they can do so and turn it off without fear of Brian Urlacher losing 5 tackling. If one does the same in Warhammer they may find themselves logged in with inferior gear and guildless.

Guild Pressure! Guild pressure is just like peer pressure only it’s intensified by players you mostly play with in your virtual world. In the past console gamers did not have to worry about letting someone down if they turned off final fantasy. Perhaps Cloud was secretly angry but he could never let you know. Today, not being able to attend a raid in World of Warcraft, or a PK run in Ultima Online can have social consequences within these heavily socially based virtual worlds. Turning down your guildmates can be difficult and even against your interest in the guild. In real life, if your boss asks you to do something because they rely on you, you would most likely help him/her out. The virtual worlds are no different. One’s guild leader may ask you to help camp a spawn or partake in a hunt; if the answer is no all the time you will inevitably lose standing with the guild leader, if not the entire guild. Before the onset of online console play, you made all the decisions and had no one, except maybe your brother/sister nagging you to turn on the game and play. Now even Console gamers have this social dynamic seen with Clans. Clans are synonymous with guilds but the term is used for most console guilds. If you are a member of a Clan that is hardcore you better be sure to make the big clan matches. Let your clan down, you let everyone down. It is this mentality that is changing casual games to a more serious, hardcore feel that PC games had exclusively for the past decade. You are now a part of something larger than yourself. It can be incredbily satisfying to be in a guild or clan and help those you care about, but it can be equally as hard to say no to those very same friends.

Both mmorpg gamers and console gamers have considered themselves separate. The reality is both gamers enjoy aspects of progression, escapism, friendships, and of course FUN! We forget at times the games are for fun. As a human species we are naturally hedonisitic so why not enjoy all forms of the video game industry? I’ll see you in World of Warcraft and a game of Tetris later.

World of Warcraft Karazhan Walkthrough Part 1: Attumen the Huntsman

If you’re looking for a World of Warcraft Karazhan walkthrough for Attumen the Huntsman then you’ve found the best on the net.

Go into Karazhan through the front door and go to the left. Kill the undead and horses. In the stables at the end sits the undead horse Midnight. This is the first boss of Karazhan.

Attumen the Huntsman (and Midnight, his trusty steed) is perhaps one of, if not the easiest raid boss in all the World of Warcraft. You hopefully shouldn’t have that much trouble with him. He was one of the few raid bosses in Burning Crusade that I remember us downing on our first attempt with no wipes. He’s really rather simple and if you have the gear to progress in Karazhan, you should be able to down him in 2-3 attempts as he’s just a gear check more than anything.

Make sure that everyone has proper consumables, including food, elixirs, health pots and mana pots. Deadly Boss Mods is also highly useful, and can be found online easily. Everyone should ideally have both Deadly Boss Mods and Omen (or another appropriate threatmeter) before they make their first journey into Karazhan.

Optimal Group Composition:
1 Warrior Tank (any epic’d tank is fine, too)
1 Offtank Tank (warrior, druid or paladin works)
3 Healers (doesn’t matter)
5 DPS (doesn’t matter)

Most of the raid should have level 70 blues if not a few crafted and PvP epics. A few greens are alright here and there, but don’t let the guy in level 65 quest greens come.

Have your offtank to go in to tank Midnight. He should be tanked in the middle of the stables, and when the tank has sufficient aggro, DPS starts on the horse. When you beat Midnight down to 95%, his master Attumen will spawn. The main tank should grab Attumen as he spawns and tank him next to Midnight. A timely misdirect is useful here, if you have a good hunter in the raid. The Attumen tank should spam Disarm and Spell Reflection on Attumen to lower his DPS and reflect the curse Attumen casts. Druids and mages need to dispel this curse when they can. Melee classes need to avoid the front of Attumen because he uses a nasty Shadow Cleave.

DPS down Midnight until he gets to 25%, then Attumen will mount up. Aggro wipes when he transitions, so all DPS needs to halt for the main tank to pick up Attumen. He’ll start using a charge ability, but he won’t charge people who are closer than 8 yards away, so everyone needs to group up behind Attumen and right next to him, which both avoids his charge and nerfs his cleave. Once the main tank has good aggro on Attumen, start DPS again as normal until he drops dead. Congratulations, you’ve beaten your first boss in Karazhan!

If your raid is having trouble with Attumen the Huntsman, then you are having aggro problems and your DPS is dying when he switches, your tanks are dropping because they need better gear (tanks must have appropriate defense to be crit immune), or your tanks are dying because your healers are running out of mana. Make sure the raid has mana potions, health potions, and good buff foods. Also make sure that everyone has threatmeters installed and working and make them watch it! I’ll soon be back with another guide on Moroes in Karazhan, then the rest of Karazhan, and after that gold and powerlevelling guides.

Tips For Starting And Running A Game Guild

One of the great social aspects of Massively Multi-Player Online Role Play Games, or MMORPGs, is the social aspect of it. Lots of people enjoy joining guilds to make the game a more sociable activity. A guild is just a group of players that gets together (virtually) for social interaction and pursuit of shared goals. Guilds, like the players that make them up are imperfect, but that’s half the fun – getting to know real people really playing the game together. Creating and managing a guild is something that will demand a time commitment from you, so you need to be sure that you have that time available. It’s like running a club or even a small business in terms of commitment. Here is an outline of steps for starting your own guild.

1. Start by defining the kind of guild you want. Do you want to have a social guild, or an “end-game” guild (where players participate after reaching the maximum game level)? The first is more friendly, the second more goal oriented.

2. Define your guild’s goals and mission statement. What do you want your guild to be known for? What do you want your guild’s “brand” to be? Write your goals down clearly and concisely. Communicate these ideas to a few potential guild members.

3. Write a Code of Conduct. This sets down the standard of behavior that is expected of guild members. This lets members and potential members know ahead of time what their obligations to the guild will be, and can provide some guidance for coping with ethical dilemmas.

4. Come up with a great name for your guild. It can be fun, serious, descriptive, nonsensical … there aren’t really any rules. Get together with a few potential members and brainstorm, then narrow it down from there.

5. Buy or otherwise obtain a web domain, preferably with your guild name in it. You can do this on one of the free sites like Blogspot or WordPress since monetization isn’t your goal. You just need a place to “hang out” with your guild members.

6. Build a structure for management of your guild. This will have a lot to do with the particular game you play. Have a few core members up front, and in general, try to have one manager for every 10 guild members. The managers report to the guild leader.

7. If you’re trying to build a World of Warcraft (WoW) guild, you have to reach level 10 first, and you need to get a guild card from a guild master, and you’ll need to return it with 10 signatures on it. For recruiting your guild, start by creating a profile of what you would consider as an ideal guild member in terms of several things: experience playing; specific skills required; certain character types required; language requirements; required availability for playing; and other characteristics you might want. You might consider giving new guild members a “probationary period” before their membership becomes permanent, and you may want to establish rules for members to maintain their membership, like logging in a certain number of hours in a given month. And you want to lay down general rules for forums, like no posting of ads, avoiding profanity, etc.

Some MMPORPGs have their own guidelines for forming guilds, like WoW does. If your game of choice has such guidelines, then you should be certain to follow them as you establish your own MMPORPG guild.

One of the great social aspects of Massively Multi-Player Online Role Play Games, or MMORPGs, is the social aspect of it.

Dwarf And Word of WarCraft

There are many races in the World of Warcraft. Alliance and Horde are two fractions of ten different races. Race determines the character’s appearance, starting location, and initial skill set, called “racial traits”. Dwarf race is consists in Alliance. There are many more races in Alliance like Humans, Night Elves, Gnomes and Draenei. Orcs, Tauren, Undead, Trolls and Blood Elves are consists in Horde. Draenei and Blood Elf characters were introduced in The Burning Crusade, and require that expansion in order to be created. There are two types of characters in the game- Player Characters (PCs, or simply “characters”) and Non-Player Characters (NPCs). In addition to the ten playable races there are many NPC races including (but not limited to) Goblins, Ogres, Murlocs, and Naga.

The dwarves start in Coldridge Valley, an area of Dun Morogh closed off by mountains. Their capital city is Ironforge. Ironforge dwarves are stout and powerful, with short muscular bodies. Male dwarves tend to have long hair, and beards or facial hair often tied in ornate braids. Female dwarves also have sturdy muscular frames, but they are buxom and lack facial hair, despite the claims of some of the less educated sages of other races. The average dwarf stands between 4 feet and 5 feet in height and weighs between 140 to 160 pounds. They speak Common and Dwarvish. The dwarves of Ironforge are a proud, stern and determined people with streaks of kindness hidden under the gruff exteriors of their sturdy frames. Their love for battle, invention and exploration impels them ever forward to discover and unearth the mysteries of their heritage, educating them further about those who first created the dwarven race.

King of Ironforge is the Magni Bronzebeard. Muradin Bronzebeard is a younger brother of Magni, founding member of the Explorer’s League. Brann Bronzebeard is youngest Bronzebeard brother, explorer. Princess of Ironforge, captive of the Dark Iron Empire is Moira Bronzebeard. Madoran Bronzebeard King of Ironforge during War of the Three Hammers. Father of Magni, Muradin, and Brann. Baelgun Flamebeard is Watcher of Doorward. Former second of Muradin’s expedition. Leader of the Stormpike Expedition in Alterac Valleyn is Vanndar Stormpike.

The dwarves of Ironforge are an ancient race of robust humanoids that live beneath the snow-capped mountains of Khaz Modan. The dwarves have always been fast allies to the humans and they revel in the prospects of battle and storytelling alike. In past ages, the dwarves rarely left the safety of their mountain fortresses. However, when the call to battle sounded they rose up to defend their friends and allies with unmatched courage and valor. While the dwarves of Ironforge appreciate the fighting skill of the Horde, it is with grim eyes that they look upon the orcs and their allies, the trolls and the Forsaken. Although the dwarves have held dealings of commerce and diplomacy with the high elves, they keep the people of Quel’Thalas at an arm’s distance. While the night elves may share the same allegiances, the dwarves look upon them with suspicion and some trepidation. Humans, however, are the staunch and constant allies of the dwarven people and find welcome, favor and kindness when in dwarven lands.

The stoic dwarves of Ironforge spent countless generations mining treasures from deep within the earth. Secure in their impregnable stronghold of Ironforge Mountain, the dwarves rarely ventured beyond the wintry peaks of Dun Morogh. Even so, when the orcs invaded Azeroth and set out to conquer the human, elven, and dwarven lands, the dwarves offered to join the Grand Alliance. The resilient and ingenious dwarves proved to be the backbone of the Alliance forces and helped usher in victory after victory. The Titans created the earthen to help shape the world of Azeroth after they were gone. When the Well of Eternity imploded, causing the Sundering, the earthen were deeply affected, feeling the pain of the earth as if it were their own. They retreated to the places of their origin – the Titan cities of Uldum, Uldaman, and Ulduar – and hibernated for almost eight thousand years. When they awoke, they found that their powers over stone and earth had waned and their rocky hide had softened to smooth skin. Those who had awoke from Uldaman migrated to the snowy mountains of Dun Morogh and built the city of Ironforge.

The dwarves of Ironforge were divided into three factions- The Ironforge Clan (Bronzebeard Clan) who controlled the city, the Wildhammer Clan who controlled the foothills the mountain, and the Dark Iron Clan who lived in the shadows of the mountain.

Recently the dwarves unearthed a series of ruins that held the key to the secrets of their lost heritage. Driven to discover the truth about his people’s fabled origins, King Magni Bronzebeard ordered that the dwarves shift their industry from mining and engineering to that of archaeology. Magni helped to create the famed Explorer’s Guild of Ironforge, a group utterly devoted to plumbing the secrets of the ancient world and delving out the truth of the dwarves’ fabled existence. An integral part of the Grand Alliance, the rugged dwarven armies have been called away to battle the merciless Horde in faraway lands. In these perilous times, the defense of the mountain kingdom falls to brave dwarves like you. The spirits of the dwarven kings watch over you, and the very mountains are your strength. The future of your people is in your hands.
Dwarven priests deliver the message of the Light to their people. They share this faith with humanity and uphold its precepts and teachings. Some dwarves have recently taken to investigating the past and discovered that the Titans themselves were godlike beings. No one has yet begun worshipping the Titans as gods, for it would seem that the Light prevails over the reverence for the dwarves’ own progenitors.

Tips When Buying World of Warcraft Accounts

There are so many computer games players who are now hooked on massively multiplayer online role-playing games or MMORPGs. If you are among them, you probably know that the best starting strategy to get on and succeed with the games is buying World of Warcraft accounts. However, buying WoW accounts is not always easy. Because such transactions are non-conventional and are not widely conducted across the market, you should be aware of several guidelines that would really help you make the most out of such initiatives.

Why is buying World of Warcraft accounts important? These days, playing World of Warcraft is becoming not just a leisure activity but also a career and as much, an earning opportunity. Some players would really spend hundreds to thousands of dollars in buying WoW accounts. Traditionally, in every game, players need to go through the normal process. Signing up an account and regularly playing to accumulate points and improve status of the player’s game characters. But in the World of Warcraft, it is all about power and strength. With such, any character would almost be invincible and would be geared towards getting higher in status and in form. Thus, if you would resort to buying World of Warcraft accounts, you would indeed skip the initial and starting phase and would immediately proceed to playing at the prime stage of the game’s life.

Here are some tips that would help you get on and make the most out of buying World of Warcraft accounts.

• Choose an online accounts retailer that is trustworthy and is highly reliable. There are numerous sites across the Internet that are operating to do so. But not all are operating legally and effectively. The usual setbacks is that such firms operate illegally. Thus, after some time, the WoW accounts you just bought could be reclaimed by the original owners and your money would just be put to waste. When buying WoW accounts, always prioritize legality and feedback from friends, professionals and other WoW players. Doing so would mean a lot.

• Prepare an ample amount of money. Because buying WoW accounts can be considered a form of a luxury, it is logical that it would cost significantly to buy such gaming accounts. With the current market run, WoW accounts up to level 70 with secured and developed characters could be bought at about $600 on the average. As reported by previous transactions, some accounts could reach as high as up to $9,000 depending on the features and power.

• Play your game well and maintain the WoW account you would be buying. If you are able to purchase a high-level and secured WoW account, it is your responsibility to keep your status high. If you slack and neglect your responsibilities as a player, you would soon realize that the secured WoW account you purchased is slowly losing its valuation. You would not like that to happen.

The Hayden’s Secret Gold Guide: Is It Any Good?-00-3384

The world of warcraft is a great game. Due to the fact that this game is very interesting and competitive, there are hundreds of gold farming guides out there to help show people how to make the most out of their warcraft game. I’ve been buying and experiencing with some of these gold guides and today, I want to share my review on one of the guides. The one I am talking about is called the Secret Gold Guide. It is written by a lady called Hayden Hawks and just like any other author she too claims her guide is the best in the market right now. But do you believe her? Well, you should read my review before deciding on that.

My Honest and Comprehensive Secret Gold Guide Review

I have really been playing the world of warcraft for a long time. For this reason, I have gathered a great deal of reputation amongst so many warcraft players. They often come to me to ask if I use gold guide, and if I do what is my opinion on this or that gold guides. Recently the most questions have been coming form the Hayden’s Hawke’s secret gold guide. It seems to be the most popular at the moment.

To answer the first question above, I would say yes, I do use gold guides, but it is not because I really need them. Or I really believe in them. It is true that they do work, but the main reason why I buy and use them is to give an honest review anytime I am asked about a particular gold guide. My gold making talents with warcraft are so impressive and I am a wealthy player. All the same, suing gold guides is good thing, and it can help you in your game so much. As Said above, the gold guide I will be talking about in this review is the Hayden Hawke’s Secret gold guide which is making news around the internet these days.

Is it actually possible to make 600 gold + an hour with the Hayden Hawke’s Secret Gold Guide?
The simple and straightforward answer to this question is Yes: You can actually make 600+ golds as Hayden says on her sales page. But you should be very careful the way you understand this information. If you started out with world of warcraft today, don’t expect to read the secret gold guide the same day and start making 600+ gold tomorrow. You have to take time to learn the tips she gives in her manual. But I can guarantee you that her manual would greatly help you in your gold making capabilities if you follow the secret techniques she teaches exactly and accurately.

Does This lady called Hayden Hawke really play World of Warcraft? And is it actually a she playing in that video? Or is someone else impersonating her?
The answer to this question is Yes: Sometimes I laugh when I get asked this question. Some people think girls don’t play warcraft. In fact I made some research and found out that there is a very huge percentage of warcraft players who are girls, and the percentage is ever increasing. I have not meet Hayden Hawke yet, and that is the only way one can say with total confidence if she is a she, or if she is a he, but from the videos on here sales page, I can say with 98% confidence that is actually her playing there.

Is this Secret Gold Guide really worth the money?
The answer to this question is Yes. The $57 she is charging for the secret gold guide is probably a very good deal, especially when you take into account the fact that she gives so many valuable free bonuses with. Talking about quality, the guide is really great and the techniques she explains it are really unique. This is just to say that her secret gold guide is defiantly worth the price she charges.

Conclusion
Most other warcraft gold guides out there do have the quality and quaintly of bonus materials included in Hayden Hawke secret gold guide, and if some do have those bonuses, they are just lame stuff that can’t be of any help to you. I mean stuff that you can get just by doing a simple Google search. But her bonuses are really great and valuable items. That alone is a big plus.

From a guide perceptive, the secret gold guide is well written and easy to understand by all. The quality of the guide is really high and all the tips and techniques she gives in the guide are freshly written and most of them are unique. The secret gold guide is certainly one of the best manual you will find on gold making with that world of warcraft at the moment.
